Accountant - Payroll & AR

About the Role

You will own and operate multi-country payroll processes, ensuring accurate, compliant and timely payroll for UK, France and US employees. You will manage accounts receivable from invoice creation to cash collection, handle Stripe billing and subscriptions, resolve billing disputes, reconcile AR with accounting records, and maintain clear documentation and controls.

Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years of experience as an accountant
  • Proven experience in multi-country payroll operations (France UK US)
  • Solid understanding of accounts receivable processes and revenue collection
  • Comfortable working with Stripe
  • Experience with Deel is a strong advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Finance Sales and Operations
  • Organised autonomous and reliable with strong sense of ownership
  • Bilingual in French and English written and spoken
  • Based in France and comfortable working in an international environment

Responsibilities

  • Own UK payroll end-to-end
  • Support and coordinate France payroll with external providers
  • Oversee US payroll processes with external partners
  • Act as main point of contact for payroll providers
  • Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and risks proactively
  • Ensure payroll data consistency with accounting records
  • Maintain and update payroll process documentation and controls
  • Manage accounts receivable from invoice creation to cash collection
  • Create and maintain customer subscriptions in Stripe
  • Ensure correct billing configuration and pricing logic
  • Liaise with Sales and Account Management on contract and billing specifics
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue payments
  • Investigate and resolve billing issues and customer disputes
  • Contribute to improving AR processes, controls and reporting
