Applied AI Engineer - National Security (TS/SCI)
About the Role
You will deploy and integrate AI capabilities into secure, classified, and airgapped mission environments and act as the primary technical interface with national security customers. You will build, tune, deploy, and optimize AI systems using techniques such as retrieval-augmented generation, prompt optimization, and fine-tuning. You will adapt solutions to real-world constraints in regulated settings, drive pilots and long-term programs with operators, capture field feedback, measure mission impact, and channel insights back into product and research roadmaps.
Requirements
- Strong background in ML model evaluation and tuning
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with API integration and API design
- Proficiency in SQL
- Experience with MCP servers
- Proven ability to deliver results within highly regulated or bureaucratic environments
- Customer-first mindset and strong communication skills
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required
- Preferred experience with PyTorch TensorFlow Kubernetes Helm and Terraform IaC
