Assistant Financial Controller
About the Role
You will manage local statutory and tax compliance, working with outsourced service providers. You will ensure accounting is up-to-date per local GAAP, prepare consolidated financial statements under US GAAP and IFRS, perform month-end close and reconciliations, analyse balance sheet and cost accounts, liaise with auditors, and support tax and statutory audits.
Requirements
- Chartered Accountant qualification or equivalent
- Globally recognized professional accounting qualification (preferred)
- High digital proficiency and ability to implement bookkeeping and reporting automation
- 2-4 years of experience
Responsibilities
- Manage local statutory and tax compliance by working with outsourced service providers
- Ensure accounting is up-to-date in accordance with local GAAP
- Review work performed by outsourced service providers
- Prepare consolidated financial statements as per US GAAP and IFRS
- Coordinate with business partners to ensure legal entities are accurately and timely accounted for
- Maintain controls over accounting processes
- Support government tax audits and statutory audits
- Perform month-end close in line with global reporting timetable
- Reconcile critical accounts to underlying documentation
- Analyse balance sheet and cost accounts
- Liaise with auditors on statutory audits
- Review quarterly transfer pricing calculations and perform true-up for local books
- Provide support for tax audits directly or through third-party providers
