Associate General Counsel
About the Role
You will draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements. You will advise business teams on securities, broker-dealer, and funding portal rules and manage legal and regulatory risk. You will structure tokenized investment products, prepare SEC/FINRA compliance materials and EDGAR filings, support crypto teams on emerging blockchain issues, and lead transactional work including fundraising, fund management, and M&A.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years law firm or in-house experience at a financial services or crypto company or regulator
- Strong understanding of securities laws and regulations
- Familiarity with crypto law and tokenized products
- JD degree and NYS Bar admission
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt and work on a broad range of matters
- Ability to live in or commute to New York City office four days a week
- Self-starter with pragmatic judgment
