Associate, Global Policy Strategy
About the Role
You will support the Head of Global Policy Strategy across policy, regulatory, research, and strategic initiatives. You will monitor global regulatory and legislative developments, maintain trackers and stakeholder maps, and prepare high-quality briefs, memos, summaries, and talking points. You will manage cross-jurisdictional projects, ensure timelines and deliverables are met, and coordinate calls, workshops, and convenings. You will conduct deep-dive research to produce actionable insights, build and maintain relationships with policymakers and regional partners, and support the creation of readiness plans, risk assessments, and ecosystem frameworks. You will also provide operational support including managing calendars, preparing agendas, and following up on action items.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public policy or regulatory analysis, legislative or regulatory affairs, political or governmental roles, or chief-of-staff or senior advisory roles
- Exceptional written and spoken English
- Experience synthesizing complex information and communicating it clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated ability to self-start, manage multiple high-velocity workstreams, and maintain exceptional organization
- Comfort working directly with senior leadership and handling sensitive or confidential issues
- Experience and literacy in crypto, blockchain, or Web3
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills across different cultures, sectors, and levels of seniority
- A public-interest mindset and respect for open-source values
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary operational and analytical partner to the Head of Global Policy Strategy
- Support research, strategy development, planning, tracking, and coordination across multiple jurisdictions
- Monitor global regulatory and legislative developments and maintain issue trackers, bill trackers, stakeholder maps, and strategic briefings
- Prepare high-quality written materials such as briefs, memos, summaries, analyses, talking points, and primers
- Manage cross-jurisdictional projects and ensure timelines, workflows, and deliverables are met
- Conduct deep-dive research in new issue areas and geographies to produce actionable insights
- Coordinate global stakeholder engagement including calls, workshops, convenings, conferences, and multi-party initiatives
- Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, civil-society groups, researchers, technical communities, and regional partners
- Support creation of readiness plans, risk assessments, ecosystem frameworks, and templates
- Draft or refine public educational materials and collaborate with communications partners
- Provide operational support including managing calendars, preparing agendas, following up on action items, and ensuring internal alignment
