Associate, Portfolio Management (Energy, Real Estate, and Finance)

About the Role

You will assist in the analysis, execution, and optimization of investment portfolios comprised of data center and energy assets. You will evaluate asset performance versus underwriting models, conduct market and sector research, and prepare performance reports and presentations. You will analyze energy infrastructure including substations, transmission lines, and generators, assess reinvestment opportunities, and support land, tax, and regulatory reviews. You will support project execution activities such as power purchase agreements and other commercial agreements, and you will manage multiple priorities while communicating findings clearly to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Electrical Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Previous internship or experience in finance or investment management preferred
  • Familiarity with energy infrastructure and electrical systems recommended
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, investment analytics, and forecasting
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering concepts related to substations, transmission grids, and power generation is a plus
  • Keen interest in energy markets, transmission systems, infrastructure, and renewables
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist in evaluation and performance analysis of existing assets
  • Analyze returns, risks, and compliance with investment guidelines
  • Conduct investigative analysis to identify solutions and improvements
  • Participate in optimization of energy assets and reinvestment analysis
  • Conduct market research and sector and company analysis
  • Prepare performance reports and presentations for stakeholders
  • Monitor market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes
  • Support and manage projects related to expansion and optimization of assets
  • Assist with land, tax, and regulatory assessments and commercial agreements
