Associate Project Engineer
About the Role
You will support the lead engineer across the facility development lifecycle. You will collaborate on cooling system design, generate RFPs and BOMs from engineering drawings, manage procurement and vendors, assist with commissioning and system testing, develop commissioning documentation and SOPs, train operations staff, manage contractors on-site, and resolve manufacturing and construction issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, performing takeoffs, and developing BOMs and RFPs
- Knowledge of engineering design tools such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Proven ability to interface with cross-functional teams including engineers, vendors, contractors, and operations staff
- Excellent problem-solving skills with hands-on troubleshooting experience in manufacturing or construction settings
- Familiarity with Bitcoin mining infrastructure or high-density computing environments is a plus
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on the design and engineering of custom cooling solutions
- Use engineering drawings to create RFPs, perform quantity takeoffs, and determine BOMs
- Manage procurement processes including vendor sourcing and supply chain coordination
- Interface with design engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical challenges
- Assist in commissioning activities including system testing, integration, and performance validation
- Develop and compile commissioning documentation such as as-built drawings and test reports
- Create Standard Operating Procedures for cooling system maintenance and troubleshooting
- Train operational teams on system functionality and safety protocols
- Manage contractors on-site ensuring work is performed safely and in compliance with project standards
- Identify and resolve issues through proactive problem-solving and root-cause analysis
