Backend Developer
About the Role
You will design, implement, and maintain backend components using Go and Solidity. You will author design docs, implement features, run reviews, and own rollouts and post-mortems. You will build sequencer-adjacent services such as screening APIs, proxies, attestations, and chain integrations (OP Stack/Arbitrum). You will profile and optimize performance with load tests, flamegraphs, and cache/queue tuning. You will apply security-first practices including threat modeling, key and secret management, IAM, and audits. You will participate in on-call rotations and incident response, maintain runbooks, and conduct blameless retrospectives. You will mentor teammates on design, testing, and review standards, and track EVM and Arbitrum changes to provide actionable insights.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Knowledge of Ethereum and EVM
- Experience with Go
- Experience with Solidity
- Experience with AWS services such as CloudWatch, DynamoDB, and ECS
- Experience with Docker, ECS, and Terraform
- Experience with OP Stack and Arbitrum preferred
- Desire to work with Rust
- Prior remote work experience with strong personal organization and self-time management
- Advanced English communication skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (bonus)
Responsibilities
- Lead projects end-to-end including design docs, implementation, reviews, rollouts, and post-mortems
- Build sequencer-adjacent services such as screening APIs, proxies, attestations, and chain integrations
- Profile and optimize performance using load testing, flamegraphs, cache and queue tuning, and data-path optimizations
- Implement security practices including threat modeling, key and secret management, IAM, and least-privilege policies
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response and blameless retrospectives
- Create and maintain runbooks and operational documentation
- Mentor teammates on designs, code reviews, testing standards, and best practices
- Monitor EVM, OP Stack, and Arbitrum ecosystem changes and surface actionable insights
