Backend Engineer
About the Role
As a Backend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in revolutionizing blockchain interoperability and shaping the future of decentralized applications. You will spearhead the development of robust and scalable backend systems that power our web3 technologies. You will be building complex backend systems and should be passionate about blockchain technology. You will write clean, scalable, and well-tested code. You should enjoy working in a fast-paced start-up environment, where you'll need to take initiative and solve problems independently. Pushing code that supports tens of billions of dollars of daily transactional volume should not scare you. You are curious and eager to learn new technologies and design patterns and are not afraid to navigate up and down a deep technical stack. You will articulate complex technical concepts clearly and succinctly.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 2+ years of experience in backend development, building and maintaining scalable, production-grade systems
- Strong understanding of backend system design
- Experience with AWS services, particularly related to deploying, managing, and scaling applications
- Proficiency in backend development languages, such as Typescript
- Experience working with workflow engines
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Previous experience with blockchain technologies, smart contracts, and decentralized finance is a strong plus
