BSA / AML Officer

About the Role

You will design, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, systems, and controls to mitigate AML and regulatory risks. You will conduct risk-based monitoring, evaluate risks for new product launches, and support the development of controls. You will serve as the primary compliance counterpart to US regulators, produce regular compliance and risk reports for senior management and the Board, coordinate cross-functional compliance activities, oversee risk management processes, and prepare responses and evidence for auditors and examiners. You will chair the local Risk Management Committee and act as the local point of contact for risk inquiries and escalations.

Requirements

  • Experience acting as a BSA Officer working closely with US regulators
  • 5-7 years of experience in Compliance including as a Compliance leader
  • At least two years of experience in a Risk or Compliance role for a regulated broker/dealer
  • Deep understanding of financial crimes monitoring and prevention including US regulations
  • Experience in risk oversight
  • Experience within a global company or within the Digital Asset sector

Responsibilities

  • Manage US-based compliance and risk programs
  • Maintain and implement financial crime and risk management policies and trainings
  • Partner with global and US counterparts to ensure consistent risk management
  • Advise on risk related to new product launches and support development of systems and controls
  • Serve as primary compliance and risk counterpart with US regulators
  • Evaluate risk and compliance considerations for blockchain-based financial services
  • Maintain oversight to identify and mitigate potential breaches
  • Collaborate with Risk Audit, Legal, HR and other departments on compliance strategies
  • Provide regular reports to the Board, Committees, and senior management
  • Oversee processes for establishing and maintaining risk management policies, procedures, systems, and controls
  • Chair the local Risk Management Committee
  • Act as local point of contact for group risk management issues and prepare responses for auditors and examiners
