Business Development - Japan Lead

About the Role

You will establish and grow the company's presence in Japan by developing and executing market strategies, managing the full client pipeline, and cultivating strategic relationships with enterprises, partners, and regulators. You will structure, negotiate, and close deals, support local marketing and events, represent the organization at conferences, and drive market development across Web3, fintech, and enterprise sectors. You must be comfortable operating in a fast paced, ambiguous environment and take strong ownership of outcomes.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional experience ideally with exposure to technology fintech or Web3
  • Strong understanding of Japan's business and regulatory environment with relevant networks
  • Proven ability to manage end-to-end business development from origination to deal closure
  • Demonstrated success managing senior-level relationships with enterprises partners and regulators
  • Experience supporting marketing campaigns brand-building and event participation
  • Strong strategic thinking sales acumen and operational execution skills
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and take ownership in a fast-moving environment
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with ability to influence at the executive level
  • Entrepreneurial mindset comfortable acting as the face of the company in the market
  • Professional proficiency in Japanese and English
  • Passion for building at the intersection of technology finance and innovation
