Business Development Manager

About the Role

You will identify and pursue high-impact partnership and revenue opportunities across DeFi, Web3, fintech, and B2B markets. You will run outbound outreach and lead-generation campaigns, negotiate and close commercial deals, manage pipelines and CRM, onboard and support partners, coach internal teams on BD processes, and produce regular performance reporting while monitoring market and regulatory trends.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sales
  • Preferably experience within Web3, DeFi, fintech, or tech startup ecosystems
  • Strong understanding of decentralized finance, Web3 technologies, and blockchain infrastructure
  • Proven track record of sourcing, negotiating, and closing strategic partnerships or commercial deals
  • Proactive and self-driven with ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in pipeline management and CRM tools
  • Multilingual skills or global market exposure, especially in Asia or emerging markets

Responsibilities

  • Generate and convert leads through outbound campaigns and cold outreach
  • Manage pipeline and CRM to track opportunities and performance
  • Set and track monthly and quarterly sales and revenue targets
  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to secure partnerships and revenue opportunities
  • Lead pricing strategy and support negotiations for deals
  • Cultivate partnerships with VCs, accelerators, ecosystem partners, fintech companies, and institutional partners
  • Build and maintain relationships with early-stage Web3 projects and key stakeholders
  • Represent the organization at industry events and conferences
  • Establish and maintain a referral network to generate qualified opportunities
  • Identify new business opportunities through market research and competitive analysis
  • Lead contract discussions, partnership structuring, and deal closing
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth partner onboarding
  • Provide ongoing relationship management and strategic support to partners
  • Coach internal teams on business development processes, templates, and best practices
  • Oversee large or complex deal structuring and urgent retention or partnership salvage efforts
  • Prepare regular reporting and performance analysis for leadership
  • Monitor industry trends, Web3 innovations, and regulatory developments
