Business Development Representative
About the Role
You will develop relationships with industry executives and evangelise Crystal's products to build a strong prospect pipeline. You will research and identify decision-makers, make outbound calls and outreach, qualify leads, document opportunities for follow-up, support targeted sales and marketing campaigns, and occasionally manage renewals and account growth. You will be expected to meet or exceed quotas and KPIs, learn quickly, and continually improve your sales skills.
Requirements
- Preferably experience in crypto or blockchain compliance
- Preferably experience in SaaS, FinTech or RegTech
- Experience selling to AML and compliance teams in financial services
- Four plus years of relevant professional experience or transferable skills
- Experience in Sales Development or Business Development
- Experience in commission sales
- High-contact customer-facing experience requiring quick thinking and diplomacy
- Hands-on experience with CRM software (HubSpot a plus)
- Ability to build professional rapport by telephone with Executive or C-level prospects
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
- High proficiency in English
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes and tools
Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales Executives to identify and source net-new pipeline
- Drive pipeline through opportunity creation
- Uncover opportunities via phone and other channels
- Qualify sales leads and set appointments for Sales Executives
- Consistently meet or exceed quotas and KPIs
- Probe for prospect needs using phone and web research
- Document opportunity details for timely follow-up
- Support marketing programs and lead generation campaigns
- Maintain existing customers and manage renewals and account growth (minor part of role)
- Continuously learn and stay abreast of industry and market trends
