Chief of Staff to CEO
About the Role
You will support the CEO by preparing high-quality briefings and materials, anticipate needs, and enable decision-making. You will translate strategy into actionable plans, map and track projects, remove execution barriers, and represent the CEO with stakeholders. You will monitor performance, surface insights using data, manage crises and communications, and travel frequently for executive meetings and events.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in engineering, law, or business preferred
- 8–10+ years of experience in high-performance environments (e.g., consulting, legal advisory, technical program leadership, VC/PE, regulated industries)
- Proven experience supporting C-level executives and governance-level decision-making
- Extensive experience in engineering and law or similar structured problem-solving disciplines
- Familiarity with Web3, blockchain, tokenomics, and governance models
- Experience using AI to augment workplace efficiencies
- Strong analytical and structured thinking with regulatory fluency
- Excellent communication across technical, legal, and business stakeholders
- Ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (approximately 50% travel)
Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of strategic initiatives
- Translate CEO vision into structured action plans
- Track project progress and remove barriers to execution
- Prepare briefing documents, talking points, and agendas for CEO engagements
- Represent the CEO when delegated and communicate executive decisions
- Monitor performance against KPIs and surface data-driven insights
- Identify operational risks and lead mitigation planning
- Create and maintain systems for cross-functional collaboration and decision-making
- Drive leadership offsites, operating cadences, and quarterly business reviews
- Engage stakeholders including regulators, investors, partners, and legal counsel
- Develop crisis communication plans in partnership with Legal and Communications
- Produce materials and strategic updates for the CEO and board members
