Comms Wizard
About the Role
You will plan and execute communications for Devcon 8, turning technical and evolving topics into clear narratives. You will design and run multi-channel campaigns, oversee paid distribution and measure performance, coordinate press and on-site logistics, and build reliable communications processes, calendars, and review workflows. You will create video briefs, work with videographers, and ensure timely publication. You must be available to travel to India for the event and to work across global time zones.
Requirements
- Proven experience in communication, marketing or editorial roles with end-to-end ownership
- Strong narrative judgement and ability to translate complex topics into clear messaging
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute multi-channel campaigns
- Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and workstreams
- Data literacy and comfort tracking performance and iterating based on results
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Experience with global or large-scale events is a strong plus
- Familiarity with Ethereum, crypto, or open-source ecosystems is highly desirable
- Must be able to travel to India in Q4 2026 and support Devcon on-site as needed
- Must hold a valid passport
- Native English speaker
Responsibilities
- Ensure continuity and clarity of Devcon 8 narratives
- Revisit and refine narratives as inputs evolve
- Translate Ethereum's evolution into accessible messaging
- Design and execute narrative-driven campaigns for India
- Maintain consistent publishing cadence across channels
- Coordinate event announcements, milestones, and programming into a communications plan
- Own paid distribution strategy and optimize spend based on data
- Create video briefs and coordinate with internal and external videographers
- Define press strategy and manage press passes and media partnerships
- Act as central coordination point for communications across workstreams
- Build and maintain editorial calendars and content intake/review processes
- Conduct regular performance reviews and iterate on campaigns
