Communications Lead, Brazil
About the Role
You will develop and execute targeted communication plans for Brazil, lead media relations and interviews, manage external agency partners, localize global announcements and product features, deliver crisis communication responses, monitor media and evaluate results, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years in Communications
- Proven track record with Brazilian media including broadcast, print, and online
- Experience managing external agencies
- Experience in crisis communication and reputation management
- Skilled written and verbal communication in Portuguese and English
- Strong project management and ability to deliver on tight deadlines
- Experience working with cross-functional and global teams
- Experience in global disruptive tech or start-up environments; crypto/web3 experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute targeted communication plans for Brazil, including messaging, audience strategy, media opportunities, and channel selection
- Lead media relations by managing press inquiries, interviews, and pitches
- Build and maintain relationships with top-tier Brazilian media across broadcast, print, and online
- Craft and deploy localization strategies for global announcements and new product features
- Deliver timely crisis communication responses and establish reputation risk protocols
- Manage external communications agencies and monitor their performance
- Oversee media monitoring and evaluate communication effectiveness, drafting reports
- Lead creation of press releases, by-line articles, and other press materials to ensure consistent messaging
