Community Manager
About the Role
You will lead and manage online communities and in-person events, taking ownership of community initiatives from conception through execution. You will recruit, manage and support community managers and moderators, design and run growth strategies and incentive programs, and plan events. You will be highly active on channels like Twitter, Discord and Telegram to engage users, share product updates, and surface community feedback. You will monitor community metrics, analyze engagement data, and regularly communicate needs and insights to product, BD and engineering. You will build partnerships with other communities, represent the project at industry events, and create content and programs that grow and activate the community.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a community lead or community manager
- Enthusiasm for blockchain and cryptocurrency sectors
- Ability to independently manage and take ownership of community initiatives
- Deep understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies and cross-chain concepts
- Experience in strategizing, managing and analyzing community engagement initiatives
- Creative thinking
- Excellent communication abilities
- Prior involvement in blockchain or crypto projects (desirable)
- Experience in orchestrating community growth and organic relations
- Established presence on platforms like Twitter, Telegram or YouTube (desirable)
- Skills in graphic design or video editing software (plus)
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage online communities and in-person events
- Manage and oversee a global team of community managers and moderators
- Develop and implement a community growth strategy
- Plan and execute community events both online and in person
- Ensure efficient communication of community needs and feedback to product teams
- Be active on Twitter, Discord and Telegram to engage the community and share updates
- Collaborate with business development and marketing to expand community reach
- Develop incentive structures and programs to activate community members
- Shape and maintain the brand voice across community channels
- Scale community management by recruiting moderators in key geographies
- Monitor and analyze community KPIs and engagement metrics
- Communicate community needs to BD and Engineering regularly
- Track leading trends and relay relevant information to marketing, BD and development
- Attend industry events and conferences to represent the company
- Build relationships and partnerships with other communities
