Community Manager (Part Time Hours)
About the Role
You will manage and grow online communities across Discord, Telegram, and Reddit. You will moderate conversations, respond to user questions and concerns clearly and professionally, and handle sensitive or high-pressure interactions with sound judgement. You will create and publish community content, operate and support community bots, identify trends and recurring issues, produce weekly community reports, and collaborate with Marketing Product and Support. You will be available to work up to 25 hours per week across five days with flexible hours.
Requirements
- 1–2 years' experience in community management moderation or online customer engagement
- Hands-on experience managing Discord and Telegram communities
- Experience with Reddit moderation is a strong plus
- Experience working with and implementing bots on Discord and Telegram including moderation and engagement automation
- Ability to manage existing bots and support rollout of new automation tools
- Basic image editing skills for community content (resizing light edits)
- Excellent written communication skills and a customer-first mindset
- Comfortable operating in high-volume or fast-paced online environments
- Strong judgement when handling sensitive emotional or escalated user interactions
- Highly organised with ability to manage multiple conversations simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Comfortable working independently while following established guidelines and tone of voice
- Desirable: experience in crypto Web3 fintech or technology-led communities
- Desirable: familiarity with Reddit moderation culture and best practices
- Desirable: background in content creation for community engagement
- Desirable: experience working in startup or remote-first environments
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day moderation and engagement across Discord Telegram and Reddit
- Represent Wirex in community spaces with a professional and consistent tone
- Respond to user questions concerns and feedback efficiently
- Handle sensitive or high-pressure conversations with sound judgement
- Create and publish engaging community content including announcements prompts polls and discussion starters
- Support community growth initiatives and engagement experiments
- Manage and support community bots for moderation onboarding and engagement
- Identify recurring issues emerging trends and community sentiment and escalate insights internally
- Collaborate with Marketing Product and Support to ensure consistent and accurate communication
- Foster an inclusive respectful and well-moderated environment across community channels
- Produce weekly community reports covering engagement sentiment key themes and actionable insights
- Work up to 25 hours per week across five days
