Compliance Associate
About the Role
You will act as a core member of operations and lead compliance initiatives reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer. You will collaborate with KYC/KYB and AML officers, liaise with regulators and financial service providers, and analyze policies, products, and procedures for legal and regulatory compliance. You will refine and implement KYB, KYC and AML processes using operational data, lead regulatory examinations, monitor customer and transaction data to detect suspicious activity, file OFAC reports and Suspicious Activity Reports when necessary, and assist with fraud investigations. You will contribute to risk management and continuously update compliance programs based on developments in relevant jurisdictions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS)
- Minimum 4 years compliance or related experience in banking financial services or fintech
- Strong knowledge of BSA AML OFAC sanctions and money transmitter regulations
- Experience with transaction monitoring and fraud management
- Experience with compliance investigations and due diligence
- Experience leading or supporting regulatory examinations
- Strong analytical and complex problem solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team

- Investigate fraud and restricted activities as needed
- Contribute to firm risk management efforts
