Compliance Associate
About the Role
You will serve as a core member of the compliance function, leading compliance initiatives and day-to-day oversight. You will manage and refine KYC, KYB and AML processes, analyze policies and transaction data to detect suspicious activity, prepare and file OFAC and SAR reports, lead regulatory examinations, assist fraud investigations, liaise with regulators and financial service providers, and continuously improve compliance controls and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree (BA/BS) required
- 6+ years of compliance or related experience at a bank, financial services firm, or fintech
- Strong knowledge of global regulatory frameworks including BSA/AML, OFAC, sanctions, and money transmitter rules
- Experience with transaction monitoring and fraud management
- Experience conducting compliance investigations and due diligence
- Proven complex problem solving and decision-making skills
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Based in the United States
Responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive compliance program and liaise with regulatory agencies and financial service providers
- Analyze and evaluate policies, procedures, products, and business practices for legal and regulatory compliance
- Actionalize and refine KYB, KYC and AML processes and procedures based on operational data
- Oversee and implement all aspects of regulatory compliance programs
- Lead and manage regulatory examinations
- Contribute to firm risk management efforts
- Monitor and analyze customer and transaction data to identify suspicious activity and file OFAC and SAR reports as necessary
- Investigate fraud and restricted activities and take appropriate actions
- Stay current on compliance developments and continually refine compliance programs
