Counsel, Regulatory and Litigation
About the Role
You will provide legal advice on a broad range of regulatory and litigation matters, focusing on financial regulation, consumer protection, securities, payments, anti-money laundering, sanctions, and anti-bribery issues. You will develop and implement regulatory strategies, assess and respond to regulatory inquiries, and lead cross-jurisdictional projects. You will create resources and tools to enable consistent legal advice across the organization, monitor changes in the legal landscape, and coordinate with stakeholders to mitigate legal risk. You will provide hands-on support in litigation, investigations, and complex matters and communicate legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor or foreign equivalent from an accredited law school
- 4-8 years of experience in regulatory and litigation roles, preferably in financial services or technology
- Strong knowledge of global financial regulations including securities, anti-money laundering, and consumer protection laws
- Experience with regulatory inquiries and cross-functional project leadership
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven project management skills leading cross-functional initiatives
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in English
- Familiarity with blockchain regulatory issues is a plus
- Government experience is a plus
