Datacenter Technician I
About the Role
You will ensure continuous 24x7 operation and security of critical datacenter infrastructure. You will perform routine and preventive maintenance on facilities and hardware, monitor equipment, respond to and remediate faults, install servers during customer onboarding, maintain service logs, and travel to sites for inspections (up to 10% travel). Expect physical tasks including lifting up to 55 lbs.
Requirements
- Technical degree in information technology or equivalent certifications and job experience
- 1+ years of experience in a critical infrastructure environment
- Comfortable working with a team of technicians in a 24x7 operating environment
- Experience with electrical troubleshooting, HVAC, plumbing, construction, security, and fire protection preferred
- Experience with IT infrastructure maintenance desired but can be acquired
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on facilities and hardware
- Monitor hardware
- Complete day-to-day tasks in a safe and efficient manner
- Respond to and remediate equipment faults identified by customers or internal monitoring systems
- Assist in the customer onboarding process by installing servers
- Travel to mining facilities for site inspections
- Lift up to 55lbs
- Maintain logs for service and maintenance on deployed assets
- Perform other duties as assigned
