DeFi Strategist
About the Role
You will lead the DeFi business development function, drive integrations with Layer 1s, Layer 2s, stablecoin issuers, lending markets, and structured yield platforms. You will shape yield product design to improve liquidity and retention, coordinate partner incentive programs and co-marketing, and work with product and engineering to deliver seamless DeFi user experiences for mints, redemptions, and related flows.
Requirements
- Deep familiarity with the DeFi ecosystem including RWAs, stablecoins, money markets, and structured yield platforms
- Demonstrated understanding of advanced DeFi strategies such as looping and fixed-rate interest products
- Established rolodex of protocol teams and DeFi power users in stablecoin, RWA, lending, infrastructure, and market making
- Prior experience in business development or product strategy at an RWA protocol, lending protocol, stablecoin issuer, Layer 1, or Layer 2
- Comfortable reasoning about smart contract logic and EVM-level design implications
- Strong strategic thinking and communication skills
- Nice to have: exposure to RWA tokenization or structuring compliant DeFi products
- Nice to have: experience working with or across power markets
Responsibilities
- Own and scale DeFi-native business development
- Drive integrations with Layer 1s and Layer 2s
- Integrate with stablecoins, lending markets, derivatives, and structured products
- Shape and refine yield product design to improve liquidity and retention
- Provide strategic input into core DeFi integration roadmaps
- Structure joint incentive programs with partners
- Coordinate co-marketing with strategic partners
- Collaborate with engineering and product to improve DeFi UX for mints and redemptions
- Work with marketing to communicate product value to DeFi participants
