DeFi Trader
About the Role
You will ideate, develop, and maintain automated trading algorithms across decentralized exchanges and blockchains. You will build strategies for liquidity provisioning, principal trading, and passive yield generation, and conduct research, backtesting, and performance analysis to validate signals. You will identify, model, and manage novel DeFi risks and collaborate with quantitative trading and research teams to create robust automated trading solutions.
Requirements
- PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or a related technical field
- Prior experience with DeFi-focused trading strategies
- Familiarity with DEXs, protocol mechanics, blockchain fundamentals, and smart contract security
- Excellent logical reasoning and analytical skills
- Experience writing code to process and analyze large data sets
- Proficiency in software development and engineering principles
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cutting-edge automated trading algorithms tailored to DeFi venues and blockchains
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis to improve trading strategies and risk management techniques
- Discover, test, and validate new patterns and trading signals using backtesting and performance analysis
- Collaborate closely with quantitative trading and research teams to create robust solutions for automated DeFi trading
- Stay current with developments in DeFi to identify short-term trading opportunities and inform long-term strategic direction
