Deputy General Counsel
About the Role
You will build the legal scaffolding to support high-growth product and commercial initiatives. You will guide regulatory strategy across securities, derivatives, money transmission, AML, sanctions and tax issues. You will handle corporate and commercial matters including board processes, deal negotiation, contract drafting and process optimization. You will collaborate across teams to counsel on product development and launches, act as a practical generalist for ad hoc legal challenges, and deliver clear, executable legal guidance to enable fast-paced work.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant legal experience at a top law firm, government agency, and/or in-house
- Active and in good standing to practice law in the United States
- Substantive legal experience with blockchain, crypto or web3 preferred
- Proven ability to manage projects, prioritize work and operate autonomously
- Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills
- Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate legal guidance clearly
