Design Engineer
About the Role
You will code new UI components, animations, and interactions to elevate product experience. You will contribute to and maintain a cohesive design system, bridge design and engineering using design tokens and Figma, and collaborate with designers and engineers to implement end-to-end experiences. You will drive the technical roadmap for features and stay current with web technologies and the evolving blockchain and financial spaces.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional development experience
- Proficiency in React
- Proficiency in Next.js
- Proficiency in TypeScript
- Deep understanding of design principles including typography layout color and illustration
- Experience with Figma design tokens and design systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn about DeFi and financial markets
Responsibilities
- Build and prototype UI components, animations, and interactions
- Advocate for front-end best practices and performance optimization
- Contribute to and maintain the design system
- Bridge design and development using design tokens and Figma
- Collaborate with designers and engineers to define and implement user experiences
- Lead the technical roadmap for features from ideation to implementation
- Monitor and adopt emerging web technologies and design trends
