DevOps Engineer
About the Role
You will work directly with the CTO to design scalable systems from day one, using AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform, with the ambition to support millions of users and devices worldwide. You will lay the foundation for petabyte-scale data pipelines, elastic node orchestration, and intelligent data routing, all while optimizing for uptime, observability, and cost efficiency.
Requirements
- Strong experience (+6 years) with AWS infrastructure and services (EC2, VPC, EKS, IAM, S3, etc.)
- Mastery of Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes for container orchestration
- Familiar with Linux systems, server config, and security best practices
- Built and maintained CI/CD pipelines, ideally in GitHub Actions
- Solid knowledge of observability tooling and incident response workflows
- Experience with high-scale scraping, browserless architectures (e.g. Puppeteer, Playwright), rotating proxy networks, or data extraction pipelines
- Exposure to Web3 systems, scraping, or distributed data networks (Bonus)
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure with Terraform and Kubernetes
- Architect systems that scale automatically from zero to millions of users and nodes
- Design systems that support global-scale scraping, proxy rotation, and real-time data ingestion across diverse formats (HTML, video, audio)
- Lead the migration from DigitalOcean to AWS, balancing scalability, cost, and security
- Build automated CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or similar tools to streamline shipping
- Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Sentry)
- Proactively address reliability bottlenecks and maintain a smooth incident response process
- Set up IAM policies, secret management, firewalls, and data protection strategies
- Ensure GDPR/CCPA compliance and follow security-by-design principles
- Work with backend, data, and frontend engineers to ensure infra supports product needs
- Contribute to team-wide engineering standards and documentation
Benefits
- Token allocation
- Performance bonuses
- Fully remote work with async flexibility
