DevOps Engineer
About the Role
You will evolve infrastructure and platform tooling to support a growing engineering organization. You will build and maintain secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines, improve observability and dashboards, and implement FinOps governance to optimize cloud spend. You will create internal developer tooling, define and measure SLOs, participate in on-call rotations, and work cross-functionally with product, security, and finance to align technical decisions with business needs.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or software engineering roles
- Proficiency in Python or Go and strong software engineering fundamentals
- Proven ownership of production infrastructure and strong debugging skills for distributed systems
- Experience designing and implementing secure infrastructure for regulated environments
- Deep experience with Kubernetes and tools like ArgoCD, Helm, and Terraform
- Familiarity with GCP or other major cloud providers and strong focus on cloud cost management
- Experience leveraging reserved instances/savings plans and implementing cost anomaly detection
- Hands-on experience with FinOps tooling such as Kubecost or CloudHealth or building custom cost allocation tooling
- Strong experience building CI/CD pipelines and internal developer tooling
- Hands-on experience with observability tools like Prometheus or Datadog and participation in on-call rotation
- FedRAMP experience or certification is a plus
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve DevOps and platform engineering functions including build, deployment, monitoring, and cost optimization
- Design and maintain secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines to support rapid product iterations
- Improve observability using Datadog, custom dashboards, and cloud monitoring
- Implement and maintain FinOps governance including showback and chargeback models
- Enable developer productivity by building internal tooling and reusable infrastructure modules
- Define and measure SLOs to set standards for system health and reliability
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, security, and finance to align technical spending with business goals
- Shape DevOps best practices and drive long-term platform roadmap
