Director, Construction
About the Role
You will lead selection and evaluation of prime contractors, conduct technical interviews, and negotiate commercial and legal terms under AIA agreements. You will manage on-site execution across multiple concurrent data center projects, monitor schedule and budget, handle change order workflows, and resolve cost, scope, and schedule issues in real time.
Requirements
- 10+ years of construction management or general contracting experience for large-scale data center, industrial, or mission-critical projects
- Experience managing prime contractor relationships and full construction lifecycles
- Deep knowledge of AIA contract structures, bid processes, and change order workflows
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent builds with consistent delivery standards
- Familiarity with data center electrical, mechanical, and structural systems
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and field management skills
- Proficiency in construction management tools and reporting systems such as Procore, MS Project, and P6
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills

- Direct internal and external project management functions
- Manage end-to-end change order evaluation and approval
- Monitor construction progress and report on key milestones
- Resolve issues related to cost, schedule, or scope in real time
- Support transition from preconstruction into field execution
- Drive accountability through performance tracking and issue escalation
- Ensure construction operations meet standards for quality, scalability, and reliability
