Director of Business Development
About the Role
You will take immediate ownership of the European market and scale regional coverage by recruiting and mentoring junior BDRs. You will proactively identify, qualify, and close enterprise partnerships with Tier-1 banks, asset managers, and digital asset firms. You will develop and execute a go-to-market strategy tailored to the European regulatory and institutional landscape, collaborate with Solutions Architects and global commercial teams to ensure technical alignment, and translate market intelligence into product requirements. You will manage end-to-end negotiations for MOUs, LOIs, and partnership agreements, and represent the company at major European industry events and conferences.
Requirements
- 15+ years of business development experience targeting sell-side capital markets or institutional digital assets
- Proven track record of aggressive pipeline generation and networking within European financial ecosystems
- Experience operating at Director or Managing Director level within a large European investment bank, bulge bracket consultancy, or leading digital asset firm
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, lead, and develop high-performing BDR/BDM teams
- Significant experience in digital assets
- Ability to deconstruct institutional client workflows to map Blockstream technologies to client pain points
- Exceptional English communication skills
