Director of Product Management (Payments, Regional Product Head)

About the Role

You will lead regional payments product initiatives, owning design and execution of ecommerce checkout and payments solutions. You will engage partners and members to define requirements, build field product capabilities, run proofs-of-concept, and translate regional needs into the core product roadmap. You will define business models, drive adoption and go-to-market plans, and track regional product goals and ROI.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of work experience in fintech or banking
  • 7+ years of hands-on product management experience, preferably with 2–3 years as a software engineer
  • Some experience in blockchain technology
  • In-depth ecommerce and mobile-based payments experience, especially merchant acceptance and QR standards/integration
  • Understanding of backend online checkout processes and preferably core banking services around ewallet funding and account management
  • Payments experience in two or more of: mobile QR-based payments, acquiring-side merchant services, issuing-side user services including mobile app UI/UX, core banking services
  • Strong customer-facing and hands-on product management experience with payments
  • Ability to balance strategy, execution, and operational activities
  • Effective presentation, communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills
  • Savvy business acumen and ability to influence stakeholders in complex environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering (required); Master's in Computer Science and/or MBA preferred
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin

Responsibilities

  • Serve as hands-on regional product leader
  • Own all regional partner and member activities related to product requirements
  • Build and manage the field product team for training, communication, and requirements vetting
  • Design and execute ecommerce checkout and collaborate with ecommerce payment provider partners
  • Lead proof-of-concept and productization for ecommerce checkout, defining requirements and working with product development
  • Act as conduit for regional industry and partner requirements to the core product roadmap
  • Define business models and strategy for ecommerce checkout and payments
  • Formulate adoption, branding, and go-to-market strategy for the HIVEX Payment Service
  • Innovate and build new payment business models and solutions
  • Identify payment pain points and propose solutions
  • Execute business frameworks, contracts, and operational rules
  • Co-develop new business models with partners
  • Drive regional product goals, ROI metrics, and SLO/OLA tracking across partners
