Director of Product Management (Payments)
About the Role
You will define the product roadmap from a global viewpoint and translate it into clear product requirements and prioritized backlogs. You will act as Product Owner for scrum teams, deliver business and engineering milestones, and communicate strategies and trade-offs to senior leaders and development teams. You will align expectations in real time with engineering, architecture, partners, and professional services throughout the software development lifecycle and work closely with engineers on architecture, APIs, and payment processing implementation.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on product management experience, preferably with 2–3 years as a software engineer
- Hands-on product management experience with deep payments and blockchain domain knowledge
- Payments experience in two or more of: QR-based payments, merchant service (acquiring), issuing and mobile app UI/UX, or e-wallet account and funding services
- Experience working directly with software engineering on architecture, design, and implementation of payment processing systems
- Experience with large-scale processing of structured and unstructured data
- Experience with modern web frameworks and writing REST APIs
- Ability to juggle strategy, execution, and operational activities
- Self-driven and able to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth, and uncertain situations
- Strong communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent (Master's and/or MBA preferred)
- Fluent in English

- Define roadmap for platforms with a global viewpoint in collaboration with architecture, professional services, and strategic partners
- Distill roadmap into product requirements and prioritize the product backlog balancing near-term deliverables and long-term investment
- Provide product vision to scrum teams and execute the roadmap with clear business and engineering milestones
- Communicate strategies and trade-offs to senior leaders and development teams
- Align understanding and expectations in real time with engineering, architecture, partners, and professional services during the software development lifecycle
