Director of Regulatory Affairs

About the Role

You will develop and implement regulatory strategies to ensure compliance across jurisdictions. You will monitor and analyze regulatory developments, advise senior management on regulatory risks and opportunities, and build relationships with regulators and industry groups. You will collaborate with product, legal, and engineering teams to integrate compliance into product development, prepare and submit regulatory filings and reports, lead audits and inspections, conduct regulatory risk assessments and mitigation, train employees on regulatory requirements, and represent the organization in regulatory forums and events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree (JD, MBA, or equivalent) preferred
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, or related roles within financial services, fintech, or blockchain
  • In-depth knowledge of global regulatory frameworks governing cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology
  • Proven track record of navigating complex regulatory environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with regulatory authorities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with regulatory bodies and industry associations is highly desirable
  • High ethical standards and commitment to integrity and transparency

  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings, reports, and documentation as required
  • Lead internal and external audits and regulatory inspections
  • Conduct regulatory risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
  • Educate and train employees on regulatory requirements and best practices
  • Represent the organization in regulatory forums, conferences, and industry events
