Director of Security Operations

About the Role

You will lead the regional execution of security strategy across Wyoming facilities. You will oversee site-level security operations, conduct risk assessments and site inspections, deploy and evaluate CCTV, AI video analytics, drone systems and GSOC platforms, and coordinate emergency responses. You will manage vendor relationships, validate SLAs, run audits and incident reviews, and mentor security personnel. You will develop SOPs, implement training pipelines including FAA Part 107 certification, manage drone operations and advise on budgeting for security technology and coverage. You will travel between job sites as needed and perform duties requiring operation of a company vehicle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management or related field or equivalent military leadership experience
  • 6+ years progressive experience in physical security, risk management or critical infrastructure protection
  • 3+ years leadership experience managing multi-site or decentralized teams
  • Demonstrated experience in incident response, threat mitigation and emergency operations
  • Working knowledge of CCTV, access control and remote monitoring technologies
  • Ability to navigate large industrial sites and respond in person to time-sensitive outdoor events
  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate required
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record check
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills to brief executives, coordinate vendors and guide field teams
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic site conditions and align actions with corporate security objectives
  • Preferred: military, certified law enforcement or high-pressure field leadership experience
  • Preferred: corporate security experience in data centers, critical infrastructure or high-security environments
  • Preferred: experience with biometric access control, integrated surveillance systems and emerging technologies such as AI analytics and drones

Responsibilities

  • Lead regional execution of corporate security strategy across Wyoming
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments
  • Deploy and evaluate CCTV, AI video analytics, autonomous drone systems and GSOC platforms
  • Integrate security technologies with IT, GSOC and operations teams
  • Serve as primary liaison with vendors and external security partners
  • Oversee vendor performance, validate SLAs, and conduct audits and incident reviews
  • Coordinate emergency responses with GSOC vendors for 24/7 monitoring and incident resolution
  • Lead, mentor and evaluate security and operations personnel across sites
  • Support team readiness through training programs, drills and awareness initiatives
  • Respond to incidents, manage escalations and ensure timely resolution
  • Lead and oversee drone operations including patrol scheduling, reporting and utilization metrics
  • Develop and implement training pipelines to maintain FAA Part 107 certification
  • Manage vendor relationships, procurement and maintenance contracts for drone hardware and software
  • Collaborate with Corporate Security Technology and GSOC leadership to refine drone SOPs and integrate AI analytics
  • Advise on CapEx and OpEx budgeting for scaling drone coverage
