Engineering Manager
About the Role
You will lead Platform Squads responsible for Core Platform, Core Data (including blockchain integrations), Developer Experience, and DevOps. You will manage and mentor engineers and engineering leads, own and refine agile processes, prioritize work in JIRA, define technical roadmaps, ensure delivery of scalable data pipelines and reliable infrastructure, monitor performance metrics, ensure security and compliance, and occasionally contribute hands-on to solve critical technical challenges.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering
- At least 5 years working as a backend engineer
- 3+ years in a senior leadership role managing multiple teams or squads
- Proven experience managing teams of approximately 15 engineers in larger organizations
- Strong background in system architecture data engineering and infrastructure management
- Experience defining and managing roadmaps and aligning them with company objectives
- Deep understanding and application of agile methodologies including Scrum
- Experience using JIRA for task prioritization tracking and alignment with roadmaps
- Ability to monitor and improve team performance using metrics and KPIs
- Familiarity with scalable architecture patterns microservices and distributed systems
- Hands-on experience with data pipeline technologies APIs and DevOps tools such as Kubernetes Docker and Terraform
- Solid understanding of CI/CD processes and cloud native tools
- Excellent communication collaboration and decision making skills
Responsibilities

- Own and refine team processes and facilitate agile ceremonies such as standups sprint planning and retrospectives
- Oversee task management and prioritization in JIRA
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and manage roadmaps timelines and deliverables
- Drive the technical vision and roadmap for Core Platform Core Data DevEx and DevOps
- Ensure delivery of robust high-performance data pipelines including blockchain integrations
- Advocate for best practices in software development DevOps and developer productivity
- Contribute hands-on to solve critical technical challenges when needed
- Monitor and improve key performance metrics such as lead time system uptime pipeline latency and team velocity
- Ensure platform components comply with security compliance and scalability requirements
