Engineering Manager
About the Role
You will lead and develop the Player Experience engineering team, guiding engineers to experiment, iterate, and ship high-impact features. You will drive the technical evolution of the discovery feed and onboarding systems, ensuring they scale to support player acquisition and activation. You will establish delivery best practices, maintain high-quality execution of the product roadmap, and partner with Product, Design, and Data to define strategy and deliver measurable user outcomes. You will collaborate with Rewards, Quest, and Trading teams to create cohesive end-to-end player journeys, foster a culture of autonomy and accountability, and coach engineers through regular feedback and career development planning.
Requirements
- At least 2 years managing high-performing software engineering teams
- Strong background in full-stack engineering
- Hands-on experience with React
- Hands-on experience with TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with Go
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup or scaleup environment
- Proven track record of delivering consumer-facing products
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer-centric approach to solving user problems
- Commitment to team performance and individual engineer growth
