Engineering Manager, Self-Custody
About the Role
You will lead a self-custody engineering team and own their delivery, quality, and growth. You will refine the engineering roadmap, define technology strategy, and drive operational excellence. You will hire, mentor, and coach engineers, conduct technical interviews, and collaborate with product managers to align product plans with team capacity and technical constraints. You will tackle complex, ambiguous problems and deliver scalable solutions while prioritizing the health and professional progression of your team.
Requirements
- 8+ years of technical experience as a full-time software engineer
- 3+ years of leadership experience as a formal people manager
- Experience managing engineering teams within the blockchain space
- Experience leading distributed teams and working across timezones
- Maintain a player-coach skillset and be comfortable conducting live technical programming interviews
- Genuinely enjoy learning and have a proven track record of diving below the surface when faced with uncertainty
