Event Marketing Lead
About the Role
You will lead the planning, delivery, and optimization of events and trade shows. You will design and maintain a flexible event showcase, manage event logistics and inventory, train and brief staff, present at events when needed, run workshops, negotiate and execute event contracts, and track event ROI using CRM and analytics to improve performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related discipline
- 5+ years of related marketing experience, ideally in event marketing
- Proven experience in event and trade show planning, attendance, and reporting
- Experience partnering with enterprise or business development teams
- Strong organization skills with ability to manage resources, budgets, and onsite personnel
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proven presentation and public speaking ability
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Metric driven with ability to draw insights from complex marketing data
- Willingness to work long hours, stand for extended periods, and travel frequently
Responsibilities
- Spearhead event strategy, including identifying key events and defining objectives
- Design and oversee the build of a flexible Event Showcase
- Develop and manage an Event Management process and ensure its execution
- Coordinate with Marketing, Business Development, Tech teams, and partners to plan and staff events
- Negotiate and execute contracts for events
- Travel frequently to attend and manage events
- Analyze, track, and report on event ROI using CRM, email marketing, and project management systems
- Grow and manage a team of event marketing specialists
- Deliver presentations and run at-event workshops
- Organize on-brand side events and manage event inventory and swag
