Finance Internship
About the Role
You will assist the accounting team with day-to-day accounting operations, process accounts payable and receivable, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, perform bank reconciliations, verify employee expense reports, support audits by preparing schedules and gathering documents, and contribute to ad-hoc financial projects and analyses.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in accounting finance or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles
- Strong quantitative skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Positive attitude and eagerness to take on new challenges
Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Support month end and year end closing by preparing journal entries and reconciliations
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
- Process and verify employee expense reports in accordance with policy
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation
- Provide support during audits by preparing schedules and gathering documents
- Contribute to ad-hoc financial projects and analysis as required
