Forward Deployed Engineer EigenCompute
About the Role
You will work directly with partner engineering teams to move existing applications into a verifiable offchain compute environment. You will help containerize services (Node.js, Python, Go), design smart contract callbacks and attestation flows, and deploy workloads into Trusted Execution Environments. You will build reference implementations, documentation, and deployment guides, and contribute improvements to the compute infrastructure based on real-world integrations.
Requirements
- 4+ years shipping production web applications or distributed systems with hands-on containerization and cloud deployment experience
- Strong engineering fundamentals in TypeScript, Python, Go, or Rust with experience building production APIs and services
- Experience with smart contract development and blockchain integration of offchain systems
- Proven ability to work directly with customers or partners as a forward-deployed engineer and deliver production solutions
- Excellent communication across technical and non-technical audiences
- Bias toward action and continuous learning, and experience leveraging developer tools and AI productivity tools
Responsibilities
- Work directly embedded with partners and own the full lifecycle from architecture design through production deployment and optimization
- Guide teams through containerizing existing applications as Docker images and deploying them in Trusted Execution Environments
- Architect integrations between smart contracts and containerized workloads, ensuring attestation flows and onchain verification are correct
- Identify protocol components that can move offchain while maintaining trust guarantees
- Build reference implementations, starter templates, and integration patterns demonstrating best practices
- Create documentation, deployment guides, and tutorials based on partner integrations
- Contribute to EigenCompute infrastructure and inform the product roadmap based on partner feedback
