Forward Deployed Software Engineer
About the Role
You will build and ship full-stack products and internal tools that power events, guides, and community-facing experiences. You will plan and lead small-to-medium projects independently and collaborate on larger initiatives. You will integrate web3 wallets and protocols, craft high-quality accessible UI, contribute to deployment and testing infrastructure, provide technical support at events, and mentor teammates while iterating quickly from prototype to production.
Requirements
- 2-3+ years of experience building software systems and products
- Experience across both backend and frontend stacks
- Proficiency with TypeScript
- Experience with Node and Express
- Experience with Apollo and GraphQL
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or Postgres
- Experience with React and Tailwind on the frontend
- Familiarity with Vercel and Google Cloud Compute
- Familiarity with Prisma and typed GraphQL tools (TypeGraphQL, Pothos, Nexus) is a plus
- Willingness to travel to international event locations and provide on-site technical support
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Self-motivated learner with a bias for shipping and iteration
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Partnerships, Marketing, and Leadership to define and build new products
- Plan, lead, and implement small-to-medium projects independently
- Contribute to large projects collaboratively across the stack
- Build member-facing web experiences and internal event tools
- Design and implement learning experiences and guides for developer education
- Integrate web3 wallets and blockchain protocols into user flows
- Implement high-quality, performant, and accessible UI components
- Build and maintain infrastructure for testing, deployment, and production operations
- Provide technical support at in-person events and hackathons
- Mentor peers and share technical knowledge to raise team standards
