Forward Deployed Software Engineer
About the Role
You will plan, lead, and implement small to medium projects independently and collaborate on larger cross-functional initiatives. You will build member-facing web experiences and internal tools, integrate onchain and offchain flows, and implement wallet and protocol integrations. You will develop NFC-enabled features for events, craft high-quality accessible UI, contribute to deployment and testing infrastructure, and provide technical support at international in-person events. You will ship code to production frequently, iterate based on feedback, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- 2-3+ years of experience building software systems and products
- Experience working across frontend and backend stacks
- Proficiency with TypeScript and Node
- Experience with Express Apollo and GraphQL
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or Postgres
- Experience with React and Tailwind for frontend development
- Familiarity with Vercel and Google Cloud Compute
- Familiarity with Prisma and typed GraphQL tools such as TypeGraphQL Pothos or Nexus is a plus
- Strong problem decomposition and scalable solution design
- Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
- Willingness to travel internationally for events

- Contribute to infrastructure for testing deploying and running production systems
- Provide on-site technical support at international events
