Founding Engineer (DeFi)
About the Role
You will architect, build, and maintain high-performance trading systems and make important design decisions with substantial autonomy. You will enhance matching and risk engines, implement internal accounting and risk management, develop optimistic proof generation for batch settlement, add new features and products, and rigorously review and improve code. Expect to work on low-latency, high-throughput distributed systems and contribute to system-level optimizations using Rust and, optionally, TypeScript.
Requirements
- 6+ years experience in trading infrastructure or exchange engineering
- Experience building a central exchange (preferred)
- Proficiency in Rust
- Experience with TypeScript (bonus)
- Deep understanding of low-level architecture
- Hardware optimization (bonus)
- Expertise in low-latency high-throughput distributed systems
Responsibilities
- Propose and implement key design choices
- Enhance matching and risk engines
- Develop internal accounting and risk management systems
- Implement optimistic proof generation for batch trade settlement
- Design and deliver new features and products
- Review and improve production code
