Founding General Manager: O2 Exchange
About the Role
You will define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a decentralized orderbook exchange. You will conduct market research and user discovery, build markets, grow trading volume, and design incentive programs. You will partner with engineering, design, and business teams to deliver end-to-end features, set KPIs, run experiments, and use analytics to guide decisions. You will recruit, mentor, and scale a team while maintaining product quality and focusing on performance and user experience.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience including 3+ years in leadership roles
- Proven track record of launching and scaling complex financial or trading products
- Experience with user acquisition and growth for trading platforms
- Strong analytical mindset comfortable using data to drive decisions
- Exceptional communication skills to align technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Passion for decentralized systems and building financial products
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the product vision strategy and roadmap for the orderbook
- Translate product objectives into clear milestones and success metrics
- Push engineering to meet high performance and scalability requirements
- Lead product discovery through user research competitor analysis and validation
- Partner with engineering design and research to deliver features end-to-end
- Partner with marketing and business development to create markets and acquire traders
- Drive user acquisition market making and protocol integrations
- Develop and manage incentive programs such as trading rewards referrals and rebates
- Define core KPIs and use analytics to inform prioritization and roadmap iteration
- Establish experimentation frameworks including A/B tests and on-chain metrics
- Recruit mentor and develop team members as the organization scales
- Foster a culture of ownership iteration and disciplined execution
