FRONTEND DEVELOPER
About the Role
You will design and implement interactive data visualization dashboards and user interfaces for both external and internal products. You will integrate frontend code with backend APIs, build tests and documentation, and optimize frontend performance. You will also help establish frontend best practices and assist in hiring and mentoring new frontend engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong knowledge of web technologies and modern frontend frameworks, especially React
- Experience with IndexedDB and WebWorkers; SSE preferred
- Experience with JavaScript data visualization and charting libraries (Plotly preferred)
- Familiarity with build tools and transpilers such as Webpack and Babel
- Familiarity with package managers such as NPM or Yarn
- Familiarity with deployment and infrastructure tools such as nginx, Kubernetes, and GitLab pipelines
- Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and basic computer science theory
- Experience writing tests and producing clear technical documentation
- Strong ownership, attention to detail, and ability to drive solutions independently
- Experience writing code in Kotlin, Java or Python is a plus
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with UX and Product teams to design dashboard applications
- Engineer data visualization tools and UI components for external and internal use
- Develop and ship a new dashboard application
- Integrate frontend with backend APIs to retrieve and present data
- Write and maintain automated tests and documentation for frontend code
- Optimize frontend application performance and responsiveness
- Implement client-side storage and background processing using IndexedDB and WebWorkers
- Assist in building and mentoring the frontend development team
