General Manager (EMI)
About the Role
You will take full ownership of the EMI product strategy, roadmap and execution. You will lead the launch and further development of the EMI product, define market fit and unit economics, and manage regulatory and compliance operations. You will form and lead cross-functional teams, build partnerships with banks, card schemes and payment networks, report progress to the CEO and Board, and scale team and infrastructure as the business grows.
Requirements
- Proven track record in building and scaling financial services products, preferably EMI, PI or banking products
- Deep understanding of the European fintech regulatory landscape
- Strong leadership experience managing multi-functional teams
- Excellent project management skills
- Data-driven mindset
- Ability to operate strategically and tactically in a startup or scaleup environment
- Strong network in fintech, banking-as-a-service and payment ecosystems is a plus
Responsibilities
- Own EMI product strategy, roadmap and execution
- Lead the launch and expansion of the EMI product offering
- Drive end-to-end product activities including market fit, unit economics, regulatory context and commercial goals
- Apply EMI governance, risk and compliance frameworks in day-to-day operations
- Form and lead cross-functional teams across product, technology and operations
- Identify and prioritise growth opportunities and customer segments
- Manage and enhance core EMI offerings
- Build and maintain partnerships with banks, card schemes and payment networks
- Ensure robust governance, risk management and compliance across EMI operations
- Collaborate with the CEO and the Board on progress, challenges and financial performance
- Scale team and infrastructure as the business grows
