General Manager Growth
About the Role
You will be responsible for driving customer growth for a core mobile money business in newer markets. You will set growth strategy with executive leadership, lead and scale in-country teams, and coordinate with product, finance, marketing and operations. You will use data and experimentation to test hypotheses, turn learnings into scalable tactics, and execute those tactics at a country level. You will spend time visiting markets, working hands-on with local teams to improve operational excellence, initiate local marketing and user acquisition campaigns, manage business KPIs and P&Ls, and hire and develop high-performing teams.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of proven success leading a team that has scaled a consumer product in an emerging market
- Strong analytical skills and comfort with data, metrics, and experimentation
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills with experience building high-performing teams
- Excellent communication skills in English
- French proficiency is a strong plus
- Ability to operate in fast-changing environments and travel regularly

- Create and execute plans to grow the core mobile money business in newer markets
- Gather user insights, test hypotheses, and translate learnings into scalable growth tactics
- Use data and experimentation to test, learn, and scale growth initiatives
- Visit operating markets and work with in-country teams to drive operational excellence
- Initiate and run local marketing strategies and user growth campaigns
- Manage and grow a multi-market team and hire top talent across functions
- Manage business KPIs and P&Ls for growing markets in coordination with leadership
