Head of Events
About the Role
You will develop and implement a structured global events strategy and processes. You will build and run the project management function for events, including event briefs and SOPs, and prioritize event opportunities. You will lead end-to-end execution of Thesis-led and sponsored activations at major conferences, coordinate travel for leadership, manage vendors and sponsors, oversee budgets, and run post-event analysis to improve outcomes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of event management experience with at least 2 years in strategy and leadership
- Experience building and managing structured event processes including event briefs and SOPs
- Proven vendor management experience including contract negotiation and oversight of third-party suppliers
- Proven track record planning and executing large-scale events
- Strong budget management and sponsorship negotiation skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments and manage multiple projects
- Experience in team leadership and development
Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end execution of events and activations at major conferences
- Coordinate travel arrangements for leadership attendance
- Coordinate and produce marketing-event assets such as merchandise and swag
- Build and maintain relationships with partners, sponsors, and stakeholders
- Develop and execute sponsorship strategies to maximize engagement and ROI
- Build and manage event budgets and optimize resource allocation
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with marketing, BD, DevRel, and product
- Oversee vendor selection, negotiation, and coordination of production, venues, AV, and catering
