Head of Investor Relations
About the Role
You will build and execute the investor relations strategy, manage relationships with investors and equity research analysts, and present market and financial insights to leadership. You will structure financing rounds with executive leadership, oversee quarterly earnings and conference calls, analyze financial and competitor trends, and ensure regulatory compliance with legal counsel.
Requirements
- Seasoned professional with extensive experience generating business results and leading teams
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting
- MBA or FMVA certification is an asset
- 3+ years of experience dealing with investors with a strong track record of positive relations with the investor community and equity research analysts
- Strong understanding of venture capital deal terms and crypto deal terms
- Native understanding of crypto and blockchain technologies
- Deep network within crypto
- Deep knowledge of capital markets and key metrics for companies in the industry
- Familiarity with financial modeling techniques and valuation methods used by analysts and investors
- Strong understanding of macroeconomics, capital market trends, competitor activities, and customer trends
- Ability to perform in high-pressure environments and meet tight deadlines
- Superb written and verbal communication skills with ability to draft engaging messages for employees and investors
Responsibilities
- Develop investor confidence and belief in the company's vision and strategy for delivering shareholder value
- Develop and strengthen trends analysis in emerging technology and crypto markets
- Collaborate with the CEO and co-founders to structure financing rounds
- Develop and maintain a robust investor relations strategy and framework
- Create and manage consistent and clear communication between internal and external parties
- Manage equity research and investor relationships
- Provide and present insights on market activity to the leadership team
- Analyze and present financial trends, competitor behavior, and shareholder issues
- Oversee and manage quarterly earnings and conference calls
- Work with legal counsel to ensure compliance on regulatory matters
