Head of IT Support Team
About the Role
You will oversee and manage internal information technology systems and back office infrastructure. You will maintain operating systems, applications and endpoint devices, handle systems administration and business-critical IT tasks, and take ownership of IT projects and solutions. You will build and maintain vendor relationships and manage procurement, track and maintain hardware and software inventory, plan and document IT continuity and recovery, and lead and develop the team's skills and competencies. You will analyze processes and technologies to identify improvements and drive efficiency, and communicate requirements and solutions across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience as Head of IT or similar role with at least 3 years in managing IT operations and systems
- Proficiency in English and Russian, written and verbal (upper-intermediate English)
- Ability to work independently to gather requirements and translate them into solutions
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate with technical and non-technical teams
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Accountability and ownership with strong priority setting, flexibility and discipline
- Systematic approach to developing services and work
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Nice to have: knowledge of ITIL and ITSM principles
- Nice to have: experience designing and implementing enterprise processes
Responsibilities
- Analyze departmental needs and boost productivity, efficiency and accuracy to inform business decisions
- Analyze processes, technologies and vendors to find areas for improvement
- Maintain essential IT infrastructure including operating systems, applications and endpoint devices
- Build and maintain relations with vendors and manage procurement of IT software
- Take ownership of projects and deliver IT solutions for business initiatives
- Handle business-critical IT tasks and perform systems administration
- Track and maintain hardware and software inventory
- Plan IT continuity by identifying IT risks and documenting contingency and recovery plans
- Lead and develop a team of five, growing skills and competences
